Can I use multiple Google accounts with one AppSumo-activated license?
No, each Backona AI account is tied to a single Google account. If you need to analyze data from multiple accounts, purchase separate accounts or consolidate access under one Google account.
Can I combine a lifetime deal with a monthly Stripe subscription?
Currently it is not possible to combine 2 types of subscriptions. Activating AppSumo one you will get messages limits in accordance to the AppSumo Tier's plan.
Can I switch from AppSumo liftime deal to a regular monthly Stripe subscription?
Yes, you can switch from AppSumo liftime deal to a monthly Stripe subscription. You can do this by clicking the Buy Plan button of the plan of your choice on the Subscription -> Billing or Subscription -> Pricing section.
What do I gain from switching to a regular monthly Stripe subscription?
While your current AppSumo plan might have insufficient messages monthly limits or number ofteam members seats, by switching to a regular monthly Stripe subscription, you may upgrade on those limits to your preferences.
Can I switch back from a regular monthly Stripe subscription to an AppSumo liftime deal?
No, while converting to a regular monthly Stripe subscription, you will lose your AppSumo liftime deal.
Can I use multiple AppSumo subscriptions for one Backona AI account?
No, the rule is one account (Google login) one AppSumo or other subscription.
If I bought multiple codes on AppSumo, can I stack them?
No. Backona AI does not support code stacking. Each code corresponds to a specific tier, and multiple codes cannot be combined for additional seats or messages.
How many messages can I send per month?
It depends on your AppSumo tier (Tier 1–5). Each plan has a set number of messages per month, which resets monthly. You can check your plan on the left side panel under the main menu, and in the Organization & Team section.
What emails do I receive after purchase?
After purchasing on AppSumo, you'll receive a welcome email from AppSumo.
What happens if I forget to activate my AppSumo deal or lose the link?
Please contact App Sumo support directly as we have no control over the AppSumo purchases.
Is there a time limit to redeem the AppSumo deal after purchase?
Yes, AppSumo deals have a time limit for redemption after purchase. Generally, you have a 60-day window to redeem your purchase, which includes the refund period. After this period, you will not be able to redeem the code or activate the license.
How do I sign up and log in to Backona AI with AppSumo?
- Click the activation link from your AppSumo email
- Sign in using your Google account linked to your Google Analytics 4 and/or Search Console data
- Grant the necessary permissions
- Configure your settings (Select Account Name, Website Config Name, Website URL, Select Property Name/ID)

Can I add additional messages to my plan when I use all available messages?
You can upgrade to the higher plan with more messages to increase available limit for the current period.
Will upgrading reset my message usage or date?
The monthly message limit will increase, to allow sending more messages on top of what you already have sent in the current period. Neither the messages used nor the plan reset date will change.
When do my messages limit reset?
Messages reset every month from the date of activation.
Can I analyze data from multiple websites on one Backona AI account?
Yes, you can switch between different configurations that you have access to for the specific Google account. Make sure to configure that in the Backona AI settings section.
How many user can I add to cooperate within one team (multi-seat feature) based on my plan?
- Tier 1 = 1 user
- Tier 2 = 1 user
- Tier 3 = 3 users
- Tier 4 = 6 users

As an AppSumo user, do I need to pay anything else in the future?
No, your lifetime deal covers everything included in your plan. You'll only need to pay in the future if you choose to upgrade or access new premium features we may launch later.

What languages does Backona AI support?
Backona AI is optimized for use with English, however, you can also ask questions in other languages, and Backona AI will respond accordingly.

Backona AI is for website owners, marketers, SEO analysts, AI visibility optimizers, content writers and anyone who wants to analyze website information, data and traffic measurements in a more natural, conversational way.
How does Backona AI work?
Backona AI agent connects to your website's data sources (like analytics, search console, etc.), allowing you to interact with all your data through simple, natural conversations.

How do I sign up and log in to Backona AI?
Simply sign in with your Google account that has at least view (read-only) permissions to the external data sources you want to interact with. This one-step integration makes it easy to get started quickly with Backona AI.
Can I use SSO or other login methods?
Currently, we only support Google Sign-In for secure access. If you have Google Workspace email account configured for your domain it will work like SSO.
Do I need a Google account to use Backona AI?
Yes, Backona AI uses your Google account for Backona AI platform authentication as well as for external data sources access authorization.
Do I need to grant access to all data sources when signing up?
No, at initial sign up or login you only need to share basic information from your Google account (name, email, and profile picture). You can grant selective permissions to specific data sources later during the configuration step, only if you decide to use those integrations.
Do I need GA4, GSC, or Google Ads to use Backona AI?
No, you don't need any of those tools to use Backona AI. You can start analyzing your website data for SEO and AI optimizations using our internal Website Analysis Tool without any external integrations. However, it is highly recommended that you connect at least one external tool (GA4, GSC, or Google Ads) to get the most out of Backona AI.
What access level do I need for GA4, GSC, and Google Ads?
You only need read-only access. Your Google account must have at least Viewer permissions on the property you want to analyze.
Which Google account should I use to sign up?
We recommend using the Google account that has direct access (at least Viewer permissions) to the properties you want to analyze most frequently.
Can I switch Google accounts?
Yes, you can switch accounts, but each Backona AI account is tied to a single Google account at a time. Using additional Google accounts may require purchasing additional subscription plans or configuring extra user seats with the multi-seat feature.
Can I use multiple Google accounts with one Backona AI account?
Each Backona AI account is tied to a single Google account. If you need to analyze data from multiple Google accounts, use a multi-seat subscription plan or purchase separate subscriptions for each Google account.
Can I analyze data from multiple websites on one Backona AI account?
Yes, you can switch between different website configurations within a single Backona AI account. Since one Google account is tied to one Backona AI account, you can access all configurations that your Google account has permissions for. Set up different configurations in the Backona AI settings section, then use the side panel to switch between them.
What exactly counts as a "message"?
A "message" is counted each time you send a query to the AI. Only your inputs count toward your monthly limit — AI responses do not count as messages.
Does every message count towards the monthly limit, what about errors?
Every message that is processed by the AI successfully counts towards the monthly limit. Some errors, caused by the platform timeout or API errors will not decrease your monthly message limit.
How many messages can I send per month?
It depends on your plan. Each plan has a set number of messages per month, which resets monthly. You can check your current plan and message limit on the left side panel under the main menu.
When does my message limit reset?
Your message limit resets every month from the date of activation.
Do unused messages carry over to the next month?
No. Unused messages do not roll over.
What happens when I hit my monthly limit?
Once you reach your monthly message limit, you won't be able to send new queries until your messages reset. Or you can upgrade your account in your settings or by contacting support.
Can I upgrade my plan?
Yes, you can upgrade your account in the Subscription -> Billing section.
Will upgrading reset my message usage or date?
No. When you upgrade, your monthly message limit will increase, allowing you to send more messages on top of what you've already sent in the current period. Neither your message usage count nor your plan reset date will change.
Can I add more messages if I run out?
Yes, you can upgrade to a higher plan with more messages to increase your available limit for the current period.
Is there a main, admin or owner account that controls everything?
Yes, the person who makes the purchase becomes the admin. Main account owner can also manage the subscription and billing details. For some of the features, like multi-seat feature, you need to be the admin to manage the users and their access to the platform within your plan.
Is there a difference between an admin and a regular user?
Yes, regular users can use the platform to chat using their own Google account permissions.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription anytime through the Control Panel under Subscription -> Billing section. Your account will remain active until the end of your billing period.
Can I get a refund?
- For AppSumo users: Refunds are handled directly by the AppSumo team.
- For regular users: We handle refunds on a case-by-case basis. Please contact our support team.

You can ask Backona AI to create bar charts, line charts, pie charts, area charts, and custom tables. Simply request the type of visualization you want in your chat message.
Does the AI support date filtering or comparisons?
Yes, you can ask for specific date ranges and year-over-year comparisons in your queries.
Can I download or export results?
Yes, you can download charts and export data from the visualizations provided by Backona AI.

What is the multi-seat feature?
The multi-seat feature allows you to share your message limit with multiple users. Availability and number of seats depends on your subscription plan.
What are the user seats?
User seats are the number of individual users who can access Backona AI under your plan and share your message limit. Each seat allows one Google account to log in and use the platform. This feature availability is dependent on the plan you have chosen.
How are additional users added within the multi-seat feature?
Additional users are invited via email invitation by the admin person. This is the only way to add users.
As a team admin, can I limit invited users to use only the email address the invitation was sent to?
Yes, you can limit the invited users to use only the email address the invitation was sent to. This option needs to be selected while sending the invitation. If not selected, the user is able to use any email address they prefer to join the team.
Can I reassign a seat to another user?
Yes, by removing the old user and adding a new one in the Organization & Team section.
Can team admin set permissions or restrict data source properties access for the users?
External tools data access permissions are controlled by the tools settings configuration for the specific email address. Backona AI offers an experimental feature to limit property access for the specific property the team admin and other users have access to. Only the team admin can configure this limitation. To access this feature as an admin you may need to contact our support team.
Do all users within the multi-seat feature have access to all external tools properties linked to the main account?
No, besides inviting people to Backona AI, users must also have external tools properties access (GA4, GSC, Google Ads properties). This is a limitation of the external tools themselves and not Backona AI.

What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?
If you cancel your subscription, your data will be retained for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. You can request immediate deletion of your data by contacting our support team.
Can users under the same plan with the multi-seat feature activated see each other's queries or data?
No. Each user's queries and conversations are fully private. Even the team administrator cannot see other users questions and conversations data, despite the fact that they may have access to the same data sources.

I don't have access to GA4, GSC, or Google Ads. What now?
You should ask your website administrator to add your Google Account email address to the tool configuration. There is only read-only access level required.
The answers I get from Backona AI are low quality. What can I do?
The quality of the answers is strongly related to the quality of the data events, data gathering precision and integrated tools configuration. Please ensure that you have all the setup correctly implemented for the website you would like to track. We may also offer our support for guiding you through the setup process.
I signed up with the wrong Google account. Can I switch?
For using the same exact plan you cannot simply switch accounts. Each Backona AI account is tied to a single Google account at a time. For specific cases, please contact our support so we can assist you with finding an appropriate solution for you.
Why can't I see any accounts or properties in Backona AI?
This could be due to several reasons:
- You may be logged into the wrong Google account
- Your account might not have access to the data source property (Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads)
- The Google Analytics property might not have any data
- Permissions may not be correctly set in Google Analytics
- You need to set up Google Analytics 4, Search Console or Google Ads first and ensure they are actively collecting data for the effective use of Backona AI.
What permissions do I need for GA4, GSC, or Google Ads to work with Backona AI?
Your Google account must have at least Viewer permissions (read-only access) on the property you want to analyze. Without this, Backona AI can't access the data.
How do I get access to a client's property to access it with Backona AI?
Ask the owner of the data source property to add your Google email to their data source property in the Admin settings. They should assign you at least as a Viewer role for the specific property to access it with Backona AI.
Does Backona AI support Universal Analytics?
No, Backona AI only supports Google Analytics 4.
I asked AI and it said it has no data about my question. What does this mean?
This usually means that your connected data source doesn't collect the specific data you requested, or there's no data available for the time period you asked about. Keep in mind that Backona AI can only access data that's available in your connected tools. For example, if your Google Analytics data retention is set to 2 months, you won't be able to access data older than that.
What happens if a user loses access to their Google account?
You must use Google's password reset procedure to regain access to your Google account.
